The Frans Brüggen Project

Lucie Horsch celebrates the legacy of Dutch recorder player and conductor Frans Brüggen (1934-2014). A true pioneer of the early music revival, Brüggen amassed a remarkable collection of historic recorders dating from the 1680s-1740s. Those instruments fell silent upon his death 10 years ago. With special access granted by Brüggen’s widow, this fine new album presents an all-too-rare chance to hear these beautiful instruments in all their finery.
