Matthew Hindson AM is one of the leading composers of his generation, with an extensive national and international composition career. His music displays an eclectic range of starting points, all rooted in the contemporary—from electronic dance music to video games to scientific breakthroughs. Matthew is the Deputy Dean of the Sydney Conservatorium of Music, University of Sydney and Curator of the Canberra Symphony Orchestra’s Australian series. This is his third piece for The Song Company: previous works include The Rage Within (1998) and Saviour of the Heathens (2017), dedicated to the previous director of The Song Company, Penny Le Couteur.
