Double bassist Luke Stence resides in New York’s Hudson Valley, where he is a member of The Orchestra Now. His engagements include performances with Talea Ensemble, the New World Symphony, the New Haven Symphony and National Repertory Orchestra, and at the Aldeburgh, Chelsea, and Norfolk music festivals. As an orchestral musician he has worked with conductors Semyon Bychkov, Christoph von Dohnányi, Peter Oundjian, and Leonard Slatkin. He is a graduate of the Yale School of Music and the Manhattan School of Music, and was a two-time fellow at the Music Academy of the West in Santa Barbara, California.
