Chin Simon is a singer-songwriter who started singing as a child in church gospel choirs, under her maternal grandmother’s leadership. Known for her raspy, soulful voice, she has been singing professionally for over seventeen years. From session singing at the age of sixteen to performing in live recordings, on stage as well as on TV, Chin has taken strides in making her musical presence known. Being a true creative, she draws influences from around her and creates a sound that at times cannot be put in one box. With this in mind she creates music to touch hearts while fulfilling her purpose.

Chin is currently working on her first personal project that is set to reflect the journey of life through society in todays context. With her passion for music, and on completing her BA in Theology and Worship in 2018 at the renowned London School of Theology, Chin has started to expand her musical talent beyond the boundaries of gospel, and has begun to fuse her expertise with other genres. As well as recording Will Todd’s Passion Music—a wonderful musical learning experience—in 2018 she also featured with Glen Scott on his collaborative project Orcastratum.

Over the years Chin has had the opportunity to lead large Gospel choirs and children’s choirs in national performances. Chin also sings with her local community choir and is in the process of creating a musical collective of a similar nature to record and travel the world together spreading joy through music.

To date, Chin’s live performances include Blur and Dorinda Clark Cole. Her credits also include recordings with Casey Abrams (American Idol season 10), Engelbert Humperdinck, Eric Bibb, James Morrison and Glen Scott.
