Cristo has given recitals at Carnegie Hall (New York), Wigmore Hall and Cadogan Hall (London), Palau de la Música (Barcelona and Valencia), Konzerthaus (Vienna and Berlin), Concertgebouw (Amsterdam) and National Auditorium (Madrid). As a chamber musician he has shared the stage with the Brodsky, Arditti, Endellion, Elias and Minetti quartets. In his soloist role, a highlight was his debut with the Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra conducted by Valery Gergiev. He has taught master classes at the Amsterdam Conservatory, Sibelius Academy (Helsinki), Liszt Academy (Budapest), University of Arts (Zürich), Strasbourg Conservatory, Norwegian Academy of Music and Cologne Conservatory. His interest in advancing in pedagogical and performance research has led him to obtain a doctorate in musicology from the Complutense University and he teaches at the Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (Madrid).

Como músico de cámara ha compartido escenario con los cuartetos Brodsky, Arditti, Endellion, Elias y Minetti. En su faceta solista destaca su debut con la Mariinsky Symphony Orchestra dirigida por Valery Gergiev. Ha impartido clases magistrales en Conservatorio de Amsterdam, Sibelius Academy (Helsinki), Liszt Academy (Budapest), Universidad de las Artes (Zürich), Conservatorio de Estrasburgo, Norwegian Academy of Music y Conservatorio de Colonia. Su interés por avanzar en la investigación pedagógica e interpretativa le ha llevado a doctorarse en musicología por la Universidad Complutense y es profesor del Centro Superior Katarina Gurska (Madrid).
