William Goodchild is a conductor and composer working across styles in concert performances and in television and film work. Collaborations in concert and in the recording studio include those with guitarist John Williams, singer Tom Jones, saxophonist Andy Sheppard and presenter Sir David Attenborough. As a conductor he has worked with the BBC Concert Orchestra, Royal Philharmonic Orchestra, Bournemouth Symphony Orchestra and the Bristol Ensemble. His television work has included the BBC’s series Wild China, the music for which was orchestrated and conducted by William and later won an Emmy Award for sound and music.
