She made her début as a flower maiden in Parsifal at The Royal Opera House and has gone on to sing leading soprano roles with various opera houses in Stuttgart, Dresden, Wiesbaden, La Scala, Dallas, Wexford, Antwerp, Strasbourg, English National Opera, Klagenfurt and others—with roles ranging from Pamina in Die Zauberflöte, Susanna and Contessa in Le Nozze di Figaro, Micaela in Carmen, Mimì in La bohème, Rusalka, Dido in Dido and Aeneas, Zaide, Conception in L’heure, Fox in The Cunning Little Vixen, Moira in The Handmaid’s Tale, Aenchen in Der Freischütz and Poppea in L’incoronazione di Poppea.
Her concert performances have been enjoyed in Konzert Haus, Vienna, Paris’s Théâtre des Champs-Elysées, Hamburgs’ Laeiszhalle and Philharmonie am Gasteig, Tonhalle in Düsseldorf, Moscow Philharmonic, Grafenegg Festival, Klassik am Dom Festival in Linz, Wigmore Hall London, Santa Cecilia in Rome and other concert houses around the world.
Pumeza has performed in the opening of the Commonwealth Games in Scotland and also took part in the Royal Variety show for The Duke and Duchess of Cambridge.
A Decca recording artist, she has released two solo albums on the Decca Classics label; Voice of Hope and Arias.
