Scottish harpist Ruth Wall specialises in the development and performance of new music on ancient and modern harps. She plays concert harp, buzzing renaissance bray harp, medieval Gaelic wire strung harp and lever harp as a soloist and with other musicians including Goldfrapp, BBC Concert Orchestra, RLPO, Kathryn Tickell, Ensemble 360 and Will Gregory. As well as performing the music of many modern composers she loves exploring the work and ancient techniques of the old Scottish, Gaelic and Welsh traditions.

Ruth has toured to Japan, Australia, Scandinavia, USA and Europe at venues including Sydney Opera House, Spiral Hall Tokyo, Radio City New York and Glastonbury main stage. She appears regularly on BBC Radio and TV (Late Junction Sessions, Jools Holland, Jay Leno) and is a featured soloist in many films including Loving Vincent, Wonka, Sightseers, Scrooge and The White Queen. Ruth has recorded for EMI, Mercury Music, Sony BMG, GFR and Universal and her CDs include The Uncommon Harp, Three Harps of Christmas, Still Warm and FitkinWall’s latest album Harpland.
