Juan Manuel Gonzalez Hernandez is a Venezuelan-German violinist, member of the BBC Concert Orchestra and former leader of the Jalisco Philharmonic Orchestra in Guadalajara, Mexico. Juan started his musical education at the Sistema of the Youth Orchestras in Venezuela and was member of the Venezuelan Symphony Orchestra, the Britten Sinfonia and later after moving to Germany, a member of the German Chamber Orchestra. He also worked with the Konzerthaus Orchestra Berlin, Deutsche Oper, Runfunk Symphonie Orchestra Berlin, KammerAkademie Potsdam and the Ensamble Resonanz in Hamburg. He has recorded for Deutsche Grammphon, Sony Classics, as well as for film scores. Working with younger musicians is a very important part of Juan’s activities, therefore he is constantly teaching and coaching young violinists from all over the world, especially from Latin America, as well as conducting youth orchestras.
