The Leonore Piano Trio has given concerts throughout the UK, Italy and New Zealand. Recent highlights include performances at Wigmore Hall, Kings Place, Nottingham Lakeside Arts Centre, Oxford Holywell Music Room and the Oslo Concert Hall; and at festivals including the Bergen International Festival, Presteigne, Cambridge Summer Music, Little Missenden and the Leicester International Music Festival. Further highlights include a Beethoven project at Music in the Round in Sheffield, comprising all of Beethoven’s piano trios, violin sonatas and cello sonatas, as well as the Leonore’s own brand of family concerts.
Committed to contemporary music, the Leonore Piano Trio has premiered Holkham Beach, a piece dedicated to it by Simon Rowland-Jones, and they play the piano trios of such composers as David Matthews, Harrison Birtwistle and Huw Watkins. The Leonore Piano Trio has also recorded piano trios by Anton Arensky, about which Gramophone wrote ‘it is hard to imagine playing of a greater empathy’, Édouard Lalo, which The Sunday Times called ‘a remarkable disc’, Taneyev, Rimsky-Korsakov, Johann Peter Pixis, Parry and, most recently, Henry Charles Litolff, which was labelled ‘a winner’ by Gramophone’s reviewer.
